As much and loud as Vivian sometimes giggles; and as smiley and giggly Annelee is starting to be - I seem to have a hard time capturing their smiles on camera. Despite their seriousness, I like this photo ... you can really see here that we have a blue-eyed girl and a brown-eyed girl:

The problem with Annelee's photos is that every few shots, this would happen:

So, it was easier to have Daddy hold her:

But Daddy felt that more focus on the feets was needed:

The Birthday Girl

I think she had a fun day. After preschool, we opened presents (the dress up chest was a huge success, as were the play dishes and the ice cream set), had dinner, then her friend Rowan came over, we opened more presents and had cake (Anne - you'll be pleased to know that it was real cake :) )

Tomorrow, we leave for Virginia for the Lupus Walk and more birthday celebration. More photos when we get back.

Three

Three!

How did that happen? How can Vivian already be turning three? :)

And what a year it has been, especially the last five months or so. She's become a wonderful big sister, moved from the toddler group into pre-school, potty-trained during the day, become even more verbal (that's both good and bad, in case you are wondering ;) ) and has a vivid imagination - lots of fun!

So, just like for her first and second birthday, here are pictures representing the last 12 months.
